Call for entries
6th Brisbane Underground Film Festival

Submissions are now open for Australian short films and video art works (up to 15 minutes in length) to screen before features at the Brisbane Underground Film Festival (BUFF) at New Farm Cinemas in February 2016. BUFF does not charge an entry fee to submit films.

BUFF particularly wishes to encourage video artists & amateur filmmakers to enter, and is interested in films that differ in subject or approach from mainstream, narrative films.

Films must be available in digital format for screenings if selected, with any hard drive shipping costs to/from the festival to be paid by the entrant if required. The film is ineligible if it has been/will be publicly screened in Brisbane or broadcast on television before Feb 1, 2016 (films screened at universities and works shown in galleries are still eligible). Selected films will be screened once. Only selected entrants will be contacted. Feature films are not eligible. International submissions are not eligible.

To enter, online screener links must reach us by Friday October 30. Entries can be emailed to buff.nina at gmail.com with your contact information, video link, the film’s title, year, director, running time, a brief synopsis and details of any prior screenings/exhibitions.
